Absorbents are available in various forms, including pads, rolls, socks, and pillows, classified by their absorbency type: oil-only (hydrophobic, repels water), universal (hydrophilic, absorbs water, oils, and chemicals), and hazmat (chemically resistant for aggressive fluids). Absorbency capacity is specified in gallons or liters per unit. Spill kits are pre-packaged collections of absorbents, PPE, and disposal bags, sized for specific spill volumes (e.g., 5-gallon, 30-gallon, 55-gallon kits). Containment pallets provide secondary containment for drums and IBCs, featuring sumps with capacities typically ranging from 66 to 385 gallons, compliant with EPA 40 CFR 264.175.
